2. Drying
Almost all flowers are suitable for drying, except those with a soft stem such as tulips, daffodils or amaryllis. Ideal flowers for drying are roses and sunflowers, because these flowers are very sturdy. In addition, these flowers are also very colourful, so success guaranteed! Also cornflower, poppy, cow parsley and grasses are perfect candidates for drying.

A widely used and well known method for drying flowers is pressing. With this method an herb, flower or leaf can be dried flat for pasting or framing (e.g. in a herbarium like we made at school, or on greeting cards or gifts). These traditional presses have a beautiful natural look, are easy to use and have multiple layers of cardboard. The only difference between the two is the way they can be anchored. The screws and straps ensure that everything remains flat and secure.
